Skilled Trades Partners is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Service Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with an expanding HVAC contractor in the Columbus, Ohio area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC professional who enjoys being hands-on in the field but is also interested in taking the next step in their career. This position offers a clear path into leadership and the opportunity to grow into a future General Manager role.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Perform seasonal maintenance, system inspections, and equipment change-outs
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical HVAC issues
- Communicate with customers regarding system issues, recommended solutions, and pricing
- Accurately document service calls and completed work
- Mentor and support other technicians
- Assist with scheduling, customer concerns, and day-to-day service operations
- Support installation crews and fellow technicians as needed
- Participate in ongoing technical, leadership, and operations training
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HVAC service, maintenance, and/or installation experience
- EPA 608 Type II or Universal certification required
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Residential and light commercial HVAC experience
- Lead Technician, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred
- Interest in growing into a future management/General Manager position
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- ServiceTitan or similar field-service software experience is a plus
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Compensation & Benefits:
- $40–$50/hr based on experience
