Rack Air (a division of Rack) is hiring a seasoned pro to lead field service for residential and light commercial customers. If you excel at finding root causes, executing clean installs, and delivering clear customer communication, you’ll thrive here.

What you’ll do

• Travel to homes and small businesses to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
• Service and optimize air handlers, ductwork, vents, and condensate drainage.
• Install new systems and perform upgrades with strict safety and quality controls.
• Present findings, options, and recommendations in easy-to-understand terms.
• Document work thoroughly and keep your vehicle and job sites clean and organized.
• Handle occasional urgent calls and rotate through on-call coverage.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Must-have qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC experience focused on residential service, maintenance, and installation.
• EPA Certification (required).
• Valid Driver’s License with at least two years of driving experience (required).
• Proven troubleshooting and critical-thinking ability.
• Customer-first mindset, professional communication, and pride in workmanship.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-changing environments.

Physical & environmental demands

• Lift 50 lbs routinely; occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Climb ladders; access attics/crawlspaces; work in tight areas; push, carry, and pull; use hand tools; fine-detail tasks.
• Ability to drive.
• Indoor and outdoor work, including attics and crawlspaces.
• Stand, walk, sit; communicate in person and by phone.
• Use hands to handle tools/controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching.
• Exposure to extreme heat/cold and adverse weather.
