Senior Human Resources Manager - Manufacturing

Direct Hire | $130,000K - $150,000K DOE | Onsite

We are seeking an experienced HR professional who enjoys being actively engaged with employees and leadership on the production floor. This role will oversee daily HR operations, manage employee relations, ensure California employment law compliance, and partner with manufacturing leadership to support workforce development and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for manufacturing employees and leadership, maintaining a visible presence on the production floor.
• Manage employee relations, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Oversee daily HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits, compensation, leaves of absence, and offboarding.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, employee development, succession planning, and retention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with California wage and hour laws, including timekeeping, attendance, and payroll accuracy.
• Manage leave of absence and accommodation requests in compliance with FMLA, CFRA, and applicable employment laws.
• Support annual performance reviews, compensation benchmarking, and employee recognition initiatives.
• Collaborate with Safety/EHS on workers' compensation claims and workplace safety initiatives.
• Oversee HRIS data accuracy, compliance documentation, and audit readiness.
• Support employee training and competency programs in accordance with AS9100/QMS requirements.
• Coach and develop assigned HR personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably supporting a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong hands-on employee relations experience, including workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
• In-depth knowledge of California employment laws, wage and hour regulations, and leave administration.
• Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese a plus
• Experience supporting employee development, performance management, and HR operations.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms such as BambooHR, Paycom, or ADP and Google Workspace.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO-certified manufacturing environments highly preferred.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
