SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER - HOOPESTON, IL

OVERVIEW:

As a Senior Human Resources Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our human capital across multiple sites. You will oversee HR operations, policies, and strategies to ensure alignment with business objectives and foster a positive work environment.

This position requires travel between 25 and 50 percent of the time to various production facilities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Serve as the primary HR leader for your home location and lead HR teams in multiple locations.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee recruitment and staffing processes for your facilities to attract and retain top talent.
  • Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling in both union and non-union settings.
  • Collaborate with management to assess and anticipate HR-related needs and formulate effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations and internal policies across all sites.
  • Implement performance management systems to drive employee productivity and development.
  • Drive compensation and benefits programs to maintain competitiveness in the industry.
  • Lead training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and engagement.
  • Conduct regular site visits to build relationships, address HR concerns, and assess operational needs.
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior management in driving organizational effectiveness and culture.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience as an HR manager in a manufacturing or food industry setting.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR teams.
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel between company sites (25-50% of the time).

WHAT WE'D LIKE TO SEE:

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Workday and data analysis tools.
