You will play a key role in advancing the firm's commitment to delivering high-quality colleague experience through specialized expertise, process excellence and continuous improvement. You will be based in either McKinsey's Tampa or Phoenix office.
You will be responsible for managing individual leaves of absence and accommodation cases for colleagues based in the US while providing optimal care-based support. You will be advising and counseling managers, functions, and office leadership on LOA&A issues and policies and maintaining expertise on regulatory and compliance responsibilities.
You will provide subject matter expertise and guidance to office leadership on HR leave and accommodation policies, serving as an expert counselor and trusted source of support for colleagues and senior stakeholders. You will communicate empathetically and clearly with colleagues across backgrounds and experience levels, often during challenging and sensitive moments, while executing consistent administrative processes in line with firm policies.
You will champion colleague support and help drive the administration of key HR processes and programs, including creating, tracking, and auditing processes that support risk management and protect the firm and its colleagues. You will also partner with functions that have team members on leaves of absence or accommodations, providing insight and guidance on topics such as coverage planning and role forecasting while building visibility across the firm's teams.
You will continue developing expertise in state and federal leave and accommodation legislation, monitoring legislative changes to help ensure processes remain compliant and reduce risk for the firm and colleagues. You will focus on continuous improvement by identifying process or knowledge gaps, increasing efficiencies, maintaining team resources, contributing to Service Lines, and leading workstreams or special projects as needed.
