    Description

    Job Description:

    Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Manager of Global Mobility to lead the design, governance, and delivery of our global mobility programs. Reporting to the Director of Benefits, this leader will shape a consistent, compliant, and compassionate experience across immigration, relocation, international assignments, and related mobility services.

You will partner across HR, Legal, Finance, Tax, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Total Rewards, and business leadership to help Chewy place and retain talent where it can have the greatest impact. This role is ideal for a leader who pairs deep subject-matter expertise with operational rigor, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to the Team Member experience.

    What You'll Do:

    • Set the global mobility strategy and multi-year roadmap, translating business and talent priorities into scalable programs and policies
    • Own the end-to-end portfolio covering domestic and international relocation, short- and long-term assignments, permanent transfers, commuter arrangements, and business traveler support
    • Partner with internal teams and external advisors for seamless immigration support
    • Lead complex mobility cases, balancing Team Member experience, business need, legal requirements, cost, precedent, and risk; providing clear recommendations to senior leaders
    • Establish strong compliance controls in partnership with internal teams and external advisors
    • Modernize and harmonize policies, eligibility frameworks, exception governance, documentation, and approval pathways while preserving flexibility for evolving business needs
    • Manage mobility vendors and advisors, including contracts, service levels, escalations, spend, renewals, competitive reviews, and continuous improvement plans
    • Build operating mechanisms and dashboards that track case volume, key performance metrics, and outcomes, and translate data into executive-ready insights
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and business leaders early in workforce and hiring decisions to assess feasibility, timing, cost, and candidate or Team Member experience
    • Develop practical guidance, communications, manager training, and self-service resources that make mobility programs easier to understand and navigate
    • Monitor regulatory and market developments and assess their impact to internal process, vendor practices, and stakeholder communications
    • Support due diligence and integration activities related to acquisitions, new-country expansion, or other business changes with mobility implications

    What You'll Need:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Law, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
    • 7+ years of progressive global mobility, immigration, relocation, international assignment, or related Total Rewards experience
    • 5+ years leading people, programs, or complex cross-functional work
    • Deep working knowledge of global mobility program design and administration, with strong command of U.S. immigration, and familiarity with cross-border tax, payroll, social security, employment, and data privacy considerations
    • Demonstrated experience creating policies and controls, governing exceptions, managing complex cases, and translating technical risk into practical business decisions
    • Strong vendor-management and financial acumen, including contracts, service-level expectations, budgets, invoice governance, and performance reviews
    • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, work across time zones, and communicate complex topics with clarity, empathy, and appropriate discretion
    • Analytical and operational strength, including the ability to use data to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and prioritize improvements
    • Occasional business travel may be required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Global Mobility Specialist (GMS), Certified Relocation Professional (CRP), SHRM, or similar relevant certification
    • Experience with global mobility technology, case-management platforms, HRIS tools such as Workday, and data visualization or reporting tools
    • Experience building or transforming a global mobility function, implementing a new service-delivery model, or supporting international growth
