Senior Global Events Operations Lead - Hybrid

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Senior Global Events Operations Lead - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Technology Company located in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time contract opportunity.

Reporting directly to the Head of Global Event Strategy, this role is designed to provide high-level operational support and event delivery management. We are looking for an exceptional, hands-on event professional who thrives on bringing complex strategies to life by operationalizing and executing the established vision. You will act as a key operational partner managing day-to-day event milestones and driving sponsorship operations.

Responsibilities:

• Translate event visions and frameworks into actionable event timelines, tracking milestones, and ensuring flawless on-site execution
• Represent the Global Events function in tactical planning meetings, confidently interacting with all levels of seniority
• Assist with the general planning of large-scale corporate events (1,000+ attendees) and occasionally take full operational ownership of specific events
• Take day-to-day ownership of sponsorship management, contract coordination, and development
• Exercise meticulous budget management, identifying cost-efficiencies and navigating procurement workflows, MSAs, and contract negotiations

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically managing large-scale corporate conferences (1,000+ attendees)
• Deep knowledge of event operations, contract negotiation, working with production teams, and managing registration platforms
• Proven ability to manage large event budgets effectively without compromising on quality
• Highly confident working with all levels of corporate seniority and excellent people skills for working across various cultures and departments
• A quick learner and proactive "doer" who can immediately hit the ground running
• This role requires working out of the Chicago office a minimum of 3 days per week
• Approximately 25% business travel required to support global event execution

Pay range: $20.78 - $30.78 per hour
