    Description

    What you'll do

    • Own and administer the City and County's enterprise ArcGIS environment, including ArcGIS Enterprise/Server, ArcGIS Online, and related ESRI components
    • Manage GIS data layers, geodatabases, and spatial data quality across departments, and set the standards other team members follow
    • Lead integrations between GIS and other business systems, including Tyler Munis and public safety applications
    • Handle user administration, licensing, and access management for ESRI platforms
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex GIS issues, escalate to ESRI when needed, and own the ticket through resolution
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for departments on mapping and spatial data needs, and recommend improvements or new capabilities for the GIS environment
    • Lead GIS-related project work as part of EXOS's broader technology modernization efforts for the account
    • Mentor other team members on GIS administration and document configurations, workflows, and known issues for the team's knowledge base
    • Evaluate the GIS environment proactively rather than waiting on tickets, flagging risks or upgrade needs before they become problems

    What you'll bring

    • 5+ years administering ESRI ArcGIS (Enterprise, Server, and/or Online) in a production environment
    • Deep working knowledge of geodatabases, spatial data management, and GIS data standards
    • Experience supporting GIS in a local government or public sector environment, especially where GIS ties into ERP or public safety systems
    • Track record of working independently and directly with vendors like ESRI on complex issues
    • Strong communication skills. You'll work directly with City and County leadership and staff, not just other IT people
    • Experience mentoring or leading other technical staff is a plus
    • Ability to pass a CJIS background check (required for this role)
