The Kind of Work Youll be Doing:
- Develop and implement comprehensive gift and estate plans for high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, corporations, and organizations.
- Provide strategic guidance and advice to clients on current and deferred complex gift planning strategies, including charitable trusts, donor-advised funds, family foundations, and other charitable vehicles.
- Collaborate with clients' legal and financial advisors to ensure the seamless coordination and implementation of gift and estate plans.
- Complete in-depth financial analyses and evaluations of assets to determine and implement the most effective gift and estate planning strategies that protect the interests of both the ministry partner and Cru.
- Stay up to date about tax laws, regulations, and philanthropic trends to provide clients with timely counsel and solutions.
- Research, identify, and solicit contributions from potential major donors to successfully close gifts.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, professional advisors, and key stakeholders to generate new donor opportunities and referrals.
- Participate in networking events, conferences, and industry organizations to enhance professional knowledge and expand Cru Foundations network.
- Continually sharpen public speaking skills to prepare and present professional presentations about Cru Foundations complex services, including appeals for gifts.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with Cru development professionals and ministry leaders.
- Mentor ministry representatives in the art of identifying current and deferred major gift opportunities and how to introduce a specialist along with the Foundations services.
- Collaborate with marketing and ministry development teams to create educational materials and thought leadership content on gift and estate planning topics.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all client interactions.

Required Experience:
- 4-year Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, law, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in sophisticated estate design, wealth management, illiquid asset structuring, or tax mitigation strategy. Proven track record working directly with HNW clients ($5M+ portfolios)
