    Our client, an A-Rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial General Liability Claims Examiner to join their claims team. This individual will be responsible for managing moderate to complex Commercial General Liability claims, including premises liability, slip and fall, and select Commercial Auto losses. The role will handle claims from initial assignment through resolution, including coverage analysis, investigation, litigation management, reserving, and settlement negotiations. This position offers the ability to work remotely.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Manage moderate to complex Commercial General Liability claims and lawsuits from inception through resolution.
    • Analyze policy terms, conditions, endorsements, and exclusions to evaluate coverage and determine appropriate claim handling strategies.
    • Conduct thorough liability and damages investigations, including obtaining statements, medical records, reports, and other relevant documentation.
    • Evaluate claim exposure, establish appropriate reserves, and adjust reserves as developments occur throughout the life of the claim.
    • Manage litigated claims in partnership with defense counsel and assist in developing effective litigation and resolution strategies.
    • Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other involved parties within assigned authority.
    • Draft coverage position correspondence and other claim-related communications as appropriate.
    • Maintain an active caseload while ensuring claims are handled accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
    Qualifications & Experience
    • 5–10+ years of Commercial General Liability claims handling experience.
    • Prior Insurance Carrier claims experience required.
    • Strong experience handling moderate to complex liability claims, including premises liability and other Commercial General Liability exposures.
    • Experience managing litigated claims and working directly with defense counsel.
    • Demonstrated experience analyzing coverage and drafting coverage position letters.
    • Strong investigation, reserving, negotiation, and settlement skills.
    • Active Adjuster License strongly preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
    Salary & Benefits
    • $90,000–$115,000+ annual base salary, depending on experience
