Job Title: Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Location: Michigan (Local Candidates Preferred)
Job Type: Contract

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer with strong expertise in enterprise application development and modern full stack technologies. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining scalable applications while contributing to architecture discussions and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java and related technologies.
  • Build and enhance scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.
  • Develop responsive front-end applications using Angular, TypeScript, and Node.js.
  • Work with Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL development.
  • Analyze application performance and optimize JVM performance using profiling tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and best practice implementation.
  • Contribute to CI/CD, deployment, and containerization initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Core Java / J2EE
  • Deep understanding of JVM internals and profiling
  • Experience with Spring Framework
  • Expertise in Angular, TypeScript, and Node.js
  • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Experience with Jersey framework
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Database

Preferred Skills

  • Unix / Shell scripting
  • Docker
  • Memcache / Redis

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Strong analytical reasoning and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and proactive mindset
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience with enterprise-scale application development
  • Prior experience in performance tuning and optimization is highly preferred
