Pay Range: $55 - $64/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive)

Role Overview
Seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer responsible for leading technical design and development activities within Vanguard's Capital Markets environment.
The developer will translate UI designs, mid-tier specifications, prototypes, and functional requirements into scalable system designs and production-ready applications. The role requires strong hands-on experience across Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular/React, REST APIs, AWS, testing, and CI/CD.
The candidate will work closely with UI developers, mid-tier developers, designers, BSAs, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Development
- Lead technical design and development activities.
- Convert UI and mid-tier design specifications and prototypes into system designs.
- Translate functional requirements into technical/system designs.
- Participate in technical design reviews with Vanguard UI and mid-tier development leads.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Guide team members with technical troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Development & Testing
- Develop and maintain applications using Java and modern full-stack technologies.
- Participate in Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodology.
- Write and execute:
- Unit tests
- Integration tests
- Functional testing
- Participate in TDD-focused design reviews and team collaboration sessions.
- Verify functionality and defect fixes.
- Perform root-cause analysis for technical defects.
Code Review & Quality
- Conduct peer code reviews.
- Participate in code reviews with Vanguard UI development leads.
- Ensure development standards and best practices are followed.
- Troubleshoot application and environment issues.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with:
- Vanguard UI Development Lead
- Vanguard Mid-Tier Development Lead
- Designers
- BSAs
- Scrum Master
- Delivery Manager
- Seek clarification on technical and functional requirements when necessary.
- Identify and escalate project issues and dependencies.
- Raise Vanguard 1CALL incidents promptly for environment outages.
