Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer / Java-Angular Developer to join our team and drive Financial Center modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Angular, Java/Spring Boot microservices, and enterprise SDLC tooling and a proven ability to deliver secure, scalable applications, remediate vulnerabilities, and support complex production environments.

Position Summary

This individual contributor will join a small, technically strong team supporting a multi-year teller transformation program. You will build and enhance applications used by Financial Center associates on desktop and iPad, troubleshoot issues across the stack, create proofs of concept, and communicate options and findings to technology and business stakeholders. You will work within scrum teams and oversee code releases, applying accepted coding practices to address vulnerability remediation and risk governance items, including Mythos, FOSS, Frontier, and related processes.

Primary Skill: Angular

Secondary Skill: Microservices

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Angular front-end applications and Java/Spring Boot microservices.
• Implement secure coding practices and remediate vulnerabilities in alignment with bank standards and governance.
• Build, test, and deploy services, including packaging via WAR files and integrating RESTful and SOAP interfaces.
• Troubleshoot system-wide issues and support production stability and performance.
• Create proofs of concept for emerging technologies and document findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams and coordinate releases with stakeholders across technology and business.
• Leverage CI/CD, code quality, and observability tools to ensure reliable and compliant delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• UI: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, Angular X, Handlebars, Node/NPM.
• Services: Java, Spring, Spring Boot Microservices.
• Security and Authentication: Hibernate/JPA.
• Testing: JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine.
• Platform tools: SVN, Bitbucket, Jira, Containers, Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, Splunk, Apache Tomcat, Autosys.
• Persistence: Oracle, caching strategies.
• Methodologies: Agile Scrum and Scaled Agile.
• AI tools knowledge.
• Experience packaging and deploying services via WAR files and integrating downstream systems via RESTful and SOAP interfaces.
• Experience working with large codebases and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience troubleshooting system-wide issues.
• Experience with Eclipse and VS Code IDEs.

Preferred Skills:

• OpenShift container knowledge.
• Continuous integration and unit testing practices.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• Awareness of current and upcoming features in relevant products and platforms.
• Solid understanding of containerization.
