The Team

The Brokerage Alternatives Technology team influences the direction of Alternative Investments and Crypto solutions for retail customers. We are a comprehensive software engineering practice, leading the build of core product and platform capabilities, championing new technologies, and promoting collaboration and open communication to facilitate better decision-making at all levels.

The Purpose of Your Role

Our teams build and work towards the organization's digital presence. As a Software Engineer, you will help us build the omni-channel user experiences and the underlying platforms needed to support our digital presence. You'll work on building entire features, taking these from concept to deployment, as part of our autonomous, cross-functional teams. You'll have the opportunity to share ideas to improve our products, develop your skills, learn new technologies and languages, and continue to grow. We're looking for highly motivated individuals who work well in a team-based, iterative, and fast-paced environment.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 5+ years of professional experience developing web applications using Angular 12+, RxJS, Redux/NgRx, and TypeScript in an Agile environment.

• Experience or willingness to learn Android, iOS, and mobile technologies.

• Knowledge of web landscape, architectures (micro-frontend, BFF, Module Federation), trends, and emerging technologies used in creating performant and resilient websites.

• Advanced Git skills, branching strategies, and CI/CD practices.

• Knowledge of HTTP/S-based APIs, networking, and how the internet works.

• Expertise with test automation tools and frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Jest, and Storybook.

• Strong problem-solving skills and passion for writing clean, testable, readable, and maintainable code with a test-first development approach.

• Familiarity with developing features for web experiences using Angular and Microservices in NodeJS/NestJS.

• Experience with Nx workspaces and the ability to use Nx for managing monorepos and enhancing developer productivity.

• Experience in internet security including OAuth, OpenID Connect, and industry best practices.

• Strong working knowledge of the AWS ecosystem (EC2, Lambda, Serverless Computing, DynamoDB).

• Understanding of containerization, Docker, and orchestration is a plus.

• End-to-end architecture experience with a focus on customer experience, ease of use, reusable core and common components development, leveraging proven architecture patterns, standards, accessibility guidelines, security, A/B testing, personalization, analytics, and measurements.
