    ABOUT THE ROLE

We're a court receivership firm, and we're looking for a senior developer who can also sit at the table with
business stakeholders. The core of this role is hands-on development in our Node.js + PostgreSQL stack — you'll
spend most of your week shipping code. Beyond that, you'll partner directly with our CTO and company leadership
to translate operational goals into clearly scoped requirements and keep the team's work organized in Jira.
In a court receiver environment, accuracy and documentation aren't optional — they're the standard. You'll work
alongside attorneys, executives, and court-appointed officers whose decisions depend on the systems and
workflows you build and document. That means the business rules you capture and the processes you map carry
    real weight.

This is a contract role with a clear path to full-time conversion. You'll report directly to the CTO and own the
technical layer day-to-day. Because of the cross-functional nature of the work, this position is fully on-site at our
    Flower Mound, TX office.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build and maintain features end-to-end in our Node.js and PostgreSQL stack.
Design schemas, write performant queries, and own technical decisions on the work you ship.
Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) and LLM-based workflows to accelerate
    development.
Partner with the CTO, executives, attorneys, and other stakeholders to elicit, refine, and document
    requirements.
Translate business needs into well-scoped user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specs.
Map and document business processes, workflows, and business rules — producing clear, structured
artifacts that support both development decisions and legal and operational accountability.
Keep the Jira backlog organized and the team aligned on priorities.
Serve as the connective tissue between business and development — surfacing risks early and
    communicating tradeoffs clearly.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
5+ years of professional software development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Node.js and
    PostgreSQL.
Solid grasp of API design, database modeling, performance tuning, and backend best practices.
Practical experience using AI coding tools and LLMs as part of your daily development workflow.
Demonstrated ability to run discovery conversations with non-technical stakeholders and turn them into
    actionable tickets.
Experience documenting business processes, workflows, and business rules in structured formats —
process flows, decision trees, functional specs, or similar.
Excellent written and verbal communication — you can write a clean ticket, run a productive meeting, and
explain technical concepts to executives and attorneys alike.
Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward driving clarity rather than waiting for it.
High attention to accuracy and detail — in a receivership environment, the documentation you produce
may inform legal and financial decisions.
Based in or willing to commute reliably to Flower Mound, TX.

    NICE TO HAVE
Experience in a formal BA or product owner role alongside development work.
Background in legal, financial, or regulated industries where process documentation carries compliance or
    evidentiary weight.
Familiarity with Confluence or similar platforms for maintaining living documentation.
Exposure to workflow automation or BPM tools.

    WHY THIS ROLE
High-stakes, meaningful work: the systems and documentation you build directly support court-appointed
operations — this isn't a CRUD app, it's infrastructure that matters.
Direct CTO partnership: you'll report to and work closely with the CTO, with real input on technical
    direction from day one.
Clear path to conversion: we're looking for a long-term partner, not a contractor. The contract structure
gives both sides a chance to confirm the fit.
On-site collaboration: the nature of receivership work requires close coordination. You'll be in the room
    where decisions are made.
If you can ship clean code and speak the language of business — we want to hear from you.
    Compensation: $135,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
