    Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Amazon CloudFront is a content delivery network that securely delivers videos, live streams, web content, applications, and APIs globally with low latency and high transfer speeds in a developer-friendly environment. Together with AWS Global Accelerator (AGA) for optimized traffic routing, AWS WAF for web application protection, and AWS Shield for DDoS defense, these services provide a comprehensive content delivery solution.

The CloudFront, AGA, WAF, and Shield consoles serve as the primary customer entry points, driving adoption and helping customers explore capabilities and visualize operations. Our team works closely with UX, Product Management, and engineers across control and data plane teams to solve customer problems and ensure seamless feature integration.

This is an exciting time to join as we build a unified experience across these services, spanning both console and agentic interactions. This role offers the opportunity to shape product direction and define how customers interact with our content delivery and security suite through a cohesive, integrated interface that encompasses traditional console workflows and AI-powered agentic experiences.

    Key job responsibilities

In this role, you"ll build agentic and frontend features and tools that our customers engage with on a daily basis to improve their experience using CloudFront, WAF and Shield. This includes rapid prototyping, converting designs into working user interfaces and agentic skills, and building frontend experiences and tooling in the browser and on the command line. As part of the developer experience team, you"ll be integral to the early planning stages of what our team delivers. You"ll not only be expected to write code, but also provide your perspective as a developer into improving the experience of our services for other developers.

An ideal candidate for this role is someone who is highly empathetic to developers and has an insatiable drive to get every detail right in order to deliver exceptional experiences. Customer obsession, ownership, strong judgment and communication skills, long term technical vision, and continuous focus on engineering and operational excellence are essential for success in this role. An ideal candidate will enjoy working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with a start-up atmosphere.

By working together on behalf of our customers, we are building the future one innovative product, service, and idea at a time. Are you ready to embrace the challenge? Come build the future with us.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
