    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes vessel prep, drug-eluting stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices, peripheral stents and thrombectomy.

    The Opportunity

    Our Temecula, California location is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst responsible for providing cost planning, analysis, and reporting to Temecula site leadership to meet targeted deliverables, as well as make recommendations to reduce costs, scale for the future, and meet regulatory compliance.

    What You’ll Work On

    • Monitor the financial & operational performance for the Temecula manufacturing location, comparing the Plan and LBE vs Actual results for various products, analyze spending trends of different accounts, and suggest actions to optimize results.

    • Responsible for month-end close process including preparation and validation of journal entries and actuals reporting and analysis of actual vs forecast.

    • Partner with operations in the preparation of Annual Operation Plan and LBEs for the manufacturing site.

    • Develop reports, dashboards, key performance indicators, etc. as required.

    • Monitor, track and reconcile various balance sheet accounts, including prepaids, accruals, etc.

    • Create reports / dashboard with financial information for the Operating teams considering business partner requirements

    • Create tools to monitor and track COGS and analyze trends and comparisons vs other benchmarks.

    • Act as finance leader and support cost reduction initiatives that will drive sustainable growth for the Temecula site.

    • Interpret financial information on costs, prices, expenses and revenues and make recommendations to senior management.

    • Meet deadlines with minimal supervision and balance workload requirements

    • Ensure adequate internal controls are followed

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field

    • Minimum 4+ years of experience performing month-end close activities, financial variance analysis, and forecasting

    • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong attention to detail

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

    • Working knowledge of Hyperion Essbase and SAP

    • MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred

    • Ability to work effectively and with flexibility under uncertainty and changing priorities

    • Strong results orientation and bias for action including a high degree of initiative and self-motivation

         

    The base pay for this position is

    $78,000.00 – $156,000.00

    In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
