A bit about us:

Our client is publicly traded aerospace and defense manufacturer with roughly 1,500 employees across 11 sites nationwide. We design, fabricate, and test mission-critical hardware for NASA, DoD, and leading commercial space and defense primes, including composite and metal bonded structures, payload fairings and adapters, propellant tanks, and defense aircraft and missile components. Our Stockton headquarters is where much of that space and launch hardware gets built.

Job Details:
You'll own cost and operational analysis for our Stockton manufacturing site, turning production, inventory, and cost data into decisions that improve margin and efficiency on space and defense hardware.
Analyze and report on manufacturing costs (material, labor, overhead), identifying variances, trends, and improvement opportunities
Own inventory analysis, including valuation, costing methods, and policy compliance, partnering with supply chain and operations on stock levels
Prepare month-end close entries and analysis, including COGS reconciliation, inventory valuation adjustments, and variances
Provide cost trend and operational driver insights to support budgeting and forecasting
Partner with operations and management on cost-control and productivity initiatives, support internal and external audits, and contribute to process and reporting improvement projects

Looking for:
Cost accounting, operational finance, or similar experience in a manufacturing setting
BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred
Advanced Excel plus PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; ERP experience required

Experience in any of the following areas welcomed:
POC (percentage of completion) accounting
Government contract accounting
Visibility ERP
Standard costing and inventory valuation
Aerospace, defense, or other complex manufacturing environments
