Description

Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making initiatives. This role partners closely with Finance leadership and business stakeholders to provide financial insights, develop forecasting models, analyze business performance, and support key planning and reporting processes. The ideal candidate combines strong financial analysis expertise, business acumen, and the ability to communicate actionable recommendations to leadership. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, and key business metrics
  • Build and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and business initiatives
  • Partner with department leaders to understand business drivers and provide data-driven recommendations
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, and reporting packages
  • Support month-end and quarter-end financial review processes
  • Monitor KPIs and identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting business performance
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses, business case evaluations, and ROI assessments
  • Assist with financial forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning activities
  • Improve reporting processes, analytical tools, and financial models
  • Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A teams to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide analytical support across the Finance organization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 4-6+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, or related disciplines
  • Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and key financial metrics
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong presentation and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or related certification
  • Experience with ERP systems, FP&A tools, Power BI, Tableau, or financial reporting platforms
  • Experience with business case development, investment analysis, and strategic planning
  • Experience creating executive dashboards and management reporting packages

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
