This role prepares quarterly and annual financial statements and supports schedules for the Agency's bond, grant, and other programs, and ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls. Acting as the primary accountant for designated programs, the Senior Financial Accountant collaborates with Finance and other departments to ensure proper accurate recording of all accounting transactions in the Agency's general ledger. When assigned to a bond program, this role works closely with the Treasury and Bond Compliance teams during bond series offering and in processing debt service payments throughout the life of the bond. The Senior Financial Accountant reports to the Financial Accounting Supervisor.All positions at MassHousing require a customer service mindset in accordance with our values: Respect, Service, Empathy, Accountability, Collaboration, and Inclusion.MassHousing operates under a hybrid work model; therefore, employees are expected to work on-site according to a schedule determined in collaboration with their manager and based on the needs of the role.
