Job Overview - Senior Finance Business Partner - 34318

Our client is seeking a Lead Finance Business Partner to provide strategic financial leadership for a large, complex business unit. This highly visible role serves as the primary finance partner to senior business leaders, helping drive performance, support strategic initiatives, and deliver actionable insights that influence key business decisions.

The position offers the opportunity to work closely with operational and commercial leadership while contributing to long-term growth, profitability improvement, operational excellence, and financial governance.

Key Responsibilites

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Serve as the lead finance advisor to business leadership teams.
  • Provide financial guidance and decision support on commercial, operational, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to identify risks, opportunities, and actions that improve business performance and profitability.

Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management

  • Lead the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, and monthly performance reviews.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze business results, identify performance drivers, and communicate insights to leadership.

Financial Analysis & Decision Support

  • Evaluate pricing strategies, cost reduction initiatives, margin improvement opportunities, and capital investments.
  • Support business case development, investment analysis, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and recommend actions to improve financial outcomes.

Reporting & Governance

  • Prepare and deliver financial reporting, presentations, and executive-level analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain strong financial governance while supporting business agility and growth.

Process Improvement & Leadership

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across forecasting, reporting, and financial planning processes.
  • Lead efforts to enhance automation, standardization, and digital finance capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Corporate Finance, and Finance teams to support enterprise objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, Business Finance, Controllership, or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial governance.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with business leaders across multiple functions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems such as SAP, OneStream, PeopleSoft, BlackLine, or similar platforms.

Preferred

  • MBA, CPA, or CMA designation.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or technology-focused organizations.
  • Strong background in capital investment analysis, ROI/IRR modeling, and business case development.
  • Experience utilizing Power BI or other business intelligence and financial analytics tools.
