What you will accomplish in this role
Position Summary: HCA Healthcare is seeking an experienced senior-level Clinical Informaticist to drive the development of clinical content and functions within Expanse, HCA Healthcares new electronic health record (EHR) platform. This analyst will join a team responsible for ensuring that the clinical tools in Expanse are developed to support efficient, effective, and compliant care of patients at HCA Healthcares inpatient facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, larger optimization and innovation projects, order sets, data visualization tools, documentation templates, clinical decision support, and contributing to the development of an Expanse product roadmap.
The senior analyst will follow a disciplined process of problem identification, understanding of current clinical workflow, evaluation of tools available to solve the problem, and recommending a solution path. This solution path could include adjustments to processes, education for staff, re-configuration of the Expanse platform, software enhancement, or a combination of all these elements. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience creating content and functions within EMR platforms. Experience with Meditech systems is strongly preferred, but not required.
