Senior Estimator

A well-established commercial general contractor in North Texas is looking for a Senior Estimator to help lead its preconstruction efforts. You'll own estimates from early budgets through hard bids, guide the strategy on key pursuits, and partner with operations and leadership to win quality work across DFW.

What You'll Do

• Lead conceptual, schematic and hard-bid estimates for commercial construction projects
• Manage quantity takeoffs and thorough reviews of plans, specifications and addenda
• Solicit, level and analyze trade contractor and supplier proposals
• Spot scope gaps, risks, alternates and value engineering opportunities
• Present estimates and bid strategy to leadership and clients
• Mentor estimators and help hand off awarded projects to the operations team
• Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners across DFW

What You Bring

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience, ideally with a general contractor
• A degree in construction management, engineering or equivalent experience
• A track record of leading estimates on a range of commercial project types
• Strong command of estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, ProEst or similar)
• Solid knowledge of construction means, methods and costs
• Clear communication and the confidence to lead bid reviews
