The Senior Estimator leads the development of detailed estimates and plays a key role in preconstruction strategy. This role owns estimates from concept through GMP and supports client relationships during the preconstruction phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead preparation of conceptual, schematic, and GMP estimates
- Develop detailed scopes and lead subcontractor bid efforts
- Analyze drawings and identify risk, gaps, and value engineering opportunities
- Lead bid leveling and scope alignment with trade partners
- Collaborate with operations, design teams, and clients
- Present estimates internally and to external stakeholders
- Mentor junior estimators and support team development
- Contribute to preconstruction strategy and scheduling
Qualifications:
- 5-10+ years of estimating experience with a commercial GC
- Background in one or more of the following markets preferred: Education, Office, Historic Preservation, Adaptive Re-Use, Hospitality, or Municipal
- Strong understanding of construction pricing, market conditions, and trade scopes
- Experience with conceptual estimating and GMP development
- Ability to lead estimate efforts independently
- Strong communication and leadership skills
