Senior Estimator - CMAR/Negotiated

Job Description

Lead estimating and preconstruction efforts from conceptual budgeting through final GMP development. Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, conceptual estimates, and cost analyses. Manage CMAR and negotiated project pursuits. Develop and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners. Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals. Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews. Analyze drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements. Support business development and client presentations during project pursuits. Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless project turnover. Maintain historical cost data and market pricing trends. Assist in developing bid strategies and risk assessments. Collaborate with project teams throughout preconstruction and planning phases.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Estimator - CMAR/Negotiated should have:

  • 7+ years of estimating experience with a commercial construction general contractor.
  • Strong experience with CMAR project delivery and negotiated work.
  • Experience developing GMPs, conceptual budgets, and detailed estimates.
  • Background estimating commercial construction projects across multiple market sectors.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
  • Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
