Senior Estimator
Our client is a well-established construction and infrastructure firm with more than a century of industry experience delivering transportation, government, healthcare, education, commercial, and municipal projects. The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in project pursuit strategy, client development, and preconstruction leadership, while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. Job Description
- Lead preconstruction and estimating activities for civil, structural, and building construction projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new project opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and detailed construction estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop project budgets and Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals.
- Create bidder lists and solicit pricing from subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure complete scope coverage and cost competitiveness.
- Participate in client presentations, budget reviews, and GMP discussions.
- Collaborate with design teams to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Maintain historical cost databases and market pricing information.
- Assist with construction planning, project phasing, logistics planning, and preliminary schedules.
- Attend owner, architect, engineer, and consultant meetings throughout the preconstruction process.
- Support project turnover activities and partner with operations teams to ensure a seamless transition.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate project progress and compare field conditions with estimating assumptions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship within the estimating and preconstruction team.
- Serve as a key Senior Estimator supporting both public and private sector projects.
- Act as a trusted advisor and strategic resource throughout the project lifecycle as a Senior Estimator.

The Successful Applicant
- 10+ years of preconstruction and estimating experience.
- Strong background in civil and structural construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience preparing estimates from conceptual design through GMP development.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Proficiency with estimating, scheduling, and quantity takeoff software.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- OSHA certification preferred.

Work Schedule
- Standard schedule of approximately 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Additional hours may be required based on project demands and critical construction activities
