Senior Estimator

We're partnering with a client to hire an experienced Senior Estimator to support their construction/project estimating team. This person will be responsible for developing accurate project estimates, evaluating costs and project requirements, and working closely with internal teams to help ensure projects are competitively and accurately priced.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects from initial concept through final bid.
  • Review drawings, specifications, plans, and other project documents to determine scope and requirements.
  • Complete quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
  • Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Identify potential cost risks, scope gaps, and opportunities for value engineering.
  • Work closely with project management, engineering, sales, and other internal teams throughout the estimating process.
  • Maintain accurate estimating documentation and historical cost information.
  • Support bid reviews, proposals, and project handoffs.
  • Help improve estimating processes, tools, and overall accuracy.

What We're Looking For

  • Several years of estimating experience in construction, manufacturing, engineering, or a related environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Experience developing detailed project cost estimates and quantity takeoffs.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with estimating software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines at the same time.

The Ideal Candidate

You're an experienced estimator who understands both the technical and financial sides of a project. You're detail-oriented, comfortable digging into drawings and specifications, and able to identify potential issues before they become costly problems.
