Senior Epitaxy Engineer

Aeluma is seeking a hands-on Senior Epitaxy Engineer to help develop and scale advanced III-V semiconductor epitaxy processes supporting next-generation photonics and electronics devices. This is an opportunity for an experienced epitaxy engineer to have significant technical ownership in a growing organization. The Senior Epitaxy Engineer will lead development of epitaxial structures and growth processes toward product development and manufacturing scale. Responsibilities include operation of CVD equipment, performing and analyzing wafer characterization data, troubleshooting process and device performance issues, and strong cross functional collaboration with device fabrication team(s). The ideal candidate may additionally direct technical activity of other epitaxy engineers and/or technicians. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with MOCVD systems operation and growth (GaAs-based epitaxial growth experience preferred); is highly motivated, self-directed and results-oriented with demonstrated ability to drive technical projects to completion; exhibits excellent organizational and time management skills; and thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Qualifications for this position include an advanced degree (MS or PhD) in engineering or science and 3-5 years minimum relevant industry experience.
