Senior Enterprise SaaS Platform Engineer to support the implementation, integration, administration, enhancement, and ongoing operation of enterprise Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications for a public-sector client.
The selected consultant will manage SaaS platforms throughout their lifecycle—from technical evaluation and implementation through production support, optimization, governance, and decommissioning. The ideal candidate combines broad enterprise SaaS experience with hands-on expertise in ServiceNow, Azure/Entra ID, AWS, identity and access management, APIs, application monitoring, reporting, and vendor coordination.
This is a senior, hands-on technical position. Candidates must be able to work onsite five days per week in West Sacramento.
Mandatory QualificationsCandidates must meet
all the following requirements:
- At least seven years of experience implementing, enhancing, configuring, customizing, and testing enterprise SaaS applications.
- At least seven years of experience providing technical and administrative support for SaaS applications, including researching technical issues, debugging, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and timely production support.
- At least seven years of experience onboarding and configuring SaaS applications, developing dashboards and reports, and working with third-party SaaS vendors and internal business or technical clients.
- At least seven years of experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS and Azure. Relevant AWS experience may include CloudWatch, Lambda, Redis, monitoring, logging, integrations, and related cloud services.
- At least seven years of experience working across the Software Development Life Cycle, including analysis, solution design, detailed technical design, development, testing, test automation, release management, and deployment.
- Demonstrated experience integrating SaaS applications using APIs, identity-management technologies, data pipelines, or enterprise integration tools.
- Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder-communication skills.
- Ability to provide employment dates, project descriptions, and professional references that verify the required experience.
- Ability and willingness to work onsite five days per week in West Sacramento, California.
Desired QualificationsPreference will be given to candidates with the following experience:
- Hands-on ServiceNow administration, configuration, development, and enterprise integration.
- ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, and ITOM.
- ServiceNow Incident Management, Change Management, Service Level Management, and Service Catalog.
- Building ServiceNow dashboards, operational reports, statistical reports, performance metrics, and enterprise-level reporting.
- Integrating third-party SaaS applications with the ServiceNow Now Platform.
- Salesforce or other major enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Electronic content-management, requirements-management, risk-management, or similar SaaS applications.
- Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, SSO, SAML, OAuth, SCIM, conditional access, IAM, and RBAC.
- AWS and Azure cloud services, monitoring, application support, and integrations.
- REST APIs, web services, middleware, data pipelines, and enterprise application integration.
- Application-performance monitoring, metrics, analytics, logging, alerting, and observability tools.
- SOC 2, ISO 27001, security assessments, access reviews, and compliance audits.
- SaaS license management, spend optimization, vendor management, SLA management, and contract coordination.
- Agile delivery and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- AI technologies and tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar solutions.
- At least five years of hands-on software-development experience involving algorithms and data structures.
- Experience supporting government, public-sector, financial-services, retirement, or other regulated organizations.
