Role: Senior Enterprise Project Manager

Duration: 8-month duration (with the possibility of a renewal)

The Project Manager II is an Information Technology (IT) position that will manage components of highly complex and visible projects and/or program initiatives. This role will follow project management methodologies and governance processes to deliver work products on time and within a set budget. The role will also collaborate with the end-user and key stakeholders to provide status updates and gather requirements, with the vendor on their implementation and delivery of contract deliverables, and with the internal IT Team. The Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining and managing the timeline for multiple projects. Further, this individual will work to identify project risks and issues and proactively manage a plan to mitigate the risks and resolve the issues. The workers responsibilities and skills must include:

  • Experience with general IT SDLC processes.
  • Experience with implementing Enterprise Systems Integration projects.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with mediating business units that may have conflicting requirements.
  • Experience driving systems integration delivery projects from 3rd party vendors to delivery acceptance and project closure.
  • Experience with preparing and presenting executive level project communications, project tracking and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to create and maintain several project artifacts including Project Timeline, Risk & Issue Log, Communication Plan, Stakeholder Register etc.
  • Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Responsible for project scope delivery adhering to and optimizing schedule, costs, and resources. Projects include the client partners, and third-party deliverables.
  • Acts as the counterpart for vendors program leader to ensure customer satisfaction and be the escalation point for service delivery activities.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a creative thinker to solve issues.
  • Must be hands-on-project manager for multiple projects.

Minimum Yrs of Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • 7 Years of Experience in managing all phases of large and complex technical projects.
  • 7 Years of Experience in creating and maintaining various project artifacts including; Project Timeline, Risk & Issue Log, Communication Plan, Stakeholder Register, etc.
  • 7 Years of Experience with general IT SDLC processes.
  • 7 Years of Experience in identifying and managing project risks and issues.
  • 7 Years of Skilled in creating and presenting executive level project communications.
  • 7 Years of Skilled in gathering requirements from business divisions.
  • 7 Years of Skilled in educating business unit staff on standardized processes.
  • 7 Years of Possess strong verbal and written skills in communicating with peers and different levels of users including executive staff.
  • 7 Years of Skilled in facilitating large group meetings with internal and external resources.
  • 7 Years of Skilled in collaborating with the technical and functional teams to develop the Technical Specification and other documents need in support of the solution.
  • 5 Years of Experience in implementing Enterprise Systems Integration

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • 4 Years of Experience with one or more of the state of Texas government agencies
  • 4 Years of CBAP and/or PMP certification is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and automation to improve project planning, scheduling, reporting, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery outcomes. Ability to effectively integrate AI-assisted capabilities into project management practices while ensuring appropriate governance, security, quality, and human oversight.
