Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Enterprise Architect to lead the modernization of a legacy FDR (Financial Data Repository) application. This is a hands-on architecture role focused on transforming a monolithic enterprise application into a scalable, cloud-native solution while defining the target-state architecture and modernization roadmap.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with legacy application modernization, enterprise architecture, cloud transformation, and database modernization in large-scale enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end modernization of a legacy FDR application.
• Define target-state architecture and cloud-native modernization strategy.
• Assess and modernize a monolithic Java/EJB application.
• Refactor complex business logic currently implemented in Oracle PL/SQL packages.
• Design scalable microservices and cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Modernize enterprise data architecture involving Oracle and MongoDB.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to drive architectural decisions.
• Ensure application scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Guide CI/CD implementation using GitHub Actions and AWS EKS.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of experience in Enterprise or Solution Architecture.
• Strong expertise in Java 17 and EJB-based monolithic applications.
• Experience modernizing legacy enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, PL/SQL packages, and database refactoring.
• Experience with MongoDB.
• Experience modernizing applications with C++/.NET-based Excel Add-in UIs.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Amazon EKS, and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with financial services or enterprise data platforms.
• Experience designing modernization roadmaps for mission-critical applications.
• AWS Certification is a plus.
