    Description

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a Senior Engineer to provide advanced engineering and technical expertise on complex electric transmission projects for high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead utility systems.

    In this role, you will manage, prepare, review, and provide guidance on line routing, survey coordination, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, clearance verification, plan/profile development, material specification and procurement, constructability assessments, work order package preparation, permitting, and coordination with vendors, subcontractors, and construction teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and approve PLS-CADD criteria for transmission projects.

    • Finalize PLS-CADD models and designs.

    • Plan and schedule project tasks for support teams.

    • Attend client stakeholder and design review meetings.

    • Mentor and train junior engineering team members.

    • Provide technical input on special design questions.

    • Participate in internal engineering and design review sessions.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in Engineering (required).

    • Professional Engineer (PE) certification (required).

    • Minimum of 8 years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry (required).

    • Proficient in using PLS-CADD for transmission line design (required).

    • Strong knowledge of design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI.

    • Experience coordinating with substation, environmental, right-of-way, construction, and maintenance stakeholders.

    • Proven ability to apply engineering theories and principles effectively.

    • Skilled in researching engineering issues, evaluating alternatives, and preparing recommendations.

    • Commitment to working safely and adhering to all safety regulations.

    • Self-motivated and capable of thriving in an unstructured, deadline-driven environment.

    • Excellent collaboration skills, able to work effectively with team members and peers in the industry.

    • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

    • Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and maintain a satisfactory driving record per company policy.
