Career Opportunity
Play a key role in enhancing the safety, sustainability, and livability of communities served by our transit network. As a technical leader in noise and vibration management, you'll combine engineering analysis, field investigation, and stakeholder engagement to identify innovative solutions that improve transit operations and minimize impacts on surrounding communities.
What You Will Do
Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Engineering Services, the incumbent is responsible for the engineering and implementation of systems for the measurement, monitoring, and analyses of noise/vibrations emanating from subway operations; and reducing/eliminating the negative impact of noise/vibrations on the surrounding residential and commercial neighborhoods. Representing Track & Structures department in public meetings with various community groups and updating on the progress of technical initiatives for noise and vibration mitigation, as well evaluating the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
Leads and manages a broad range of subway noise and vibration engineering initiatives, including data collection, analysis, modelling, investigation, and mitigation. Provides technical expertise to identify root causes, develop cost-effective solutions, support infrastructure design and maintenance decisions, collaborate with stakeholders, ensure compliance with industry standards, and address community concerns through reporting, consultation, and public engagement.
