Position Summary Description
Provides complex electrical and instrumentation and control (I&C) engineering services to assist in attaining the goals of plant reliability, efficiency, safety and environmental compliance in the most cost-effective manner. Manages and coordinates engineering activities in support of the operations and maintenance of the power plant to improve reliability, operability and maintainability. Plans, develops, designs, and executes capital and major expense projects. This involves but is not limited to exploration of project needs, definition of scope, engineering oversight and consultation across cross-functional teams to deliver results within budget and on schedule. Provides technical directions and reviews engineering and design drawings, technical calculations, and other deliverables of peers and vendors to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, policies and guidelines. Champions any necessary changes to department or corporate processes and procedures to drive continuous improvements and maintain alignment with corporate goals and division business imperatives.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET Accredited curriculum is required or applicable equivalent training and education. Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred. At least Eight (8) years of progressively responsible professional engineering experience in large, modern power plants dealing with design, construction, operation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation and control systems. Experience must include the development of detailed engineering and technical specifications, detailed engineering budgetary estimates, evaluation and analysis of electrical components, and troubleshooting of complex engineering problems.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to work and access all locations of the plant and grounds. Must be able to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolds. Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
Working Conditions
Some travel and work outside of normal business hours. While working in certain areas of the plant, there is the potential for exposure to hazards typical of an industrial working environment.
