Akkodis is seeking a Senior Engineer - Application Support for a Direct Hire with a client in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate is responsible for overseeing incident management, supporting payment systems, and driving operational improvements through automation and process optimization.
Salary Range: $100K/Yearly to $105K/Yearly; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior Engineer - Application Support Job Responsibilities include:
Provide operational and application support for business-critical payment systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Lead incident management activities, including issue triage, escalation, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues.
Manage application releases, production changes, and weekend maintenance activities while minimizing business impact.
Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies to enhance service delivery.
Coordinate disaster recovery testing and support business continuity initiatives to maintain system resilience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical support projects, payment investigations, and platform enhancement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience in application/production support within a high-availability environment.
Strong experience supporting payment systems, transaction processing platforms, and handling incident management, technical escalations, and root cause analysis.
Technical expertise in Windows/Linux environments, enterprise integration technologies (IBM MQ, Connect:Direct, SFTP), and experience driving operational improvements through automation and process optimization.
