We are a fabless system-on-chip product company, on a mission to develop a wearable electronic brain with input from distributed sensors like camera, microphones, body monitors etc.
Team And Role OverviewIxana is looking for a talented embedded software engineer to join a rapidly growing space startup. As a member of the Integrated Software team, you will help build low-level software for wearables.
This position is for our West Lafayette, IN office. The position can be remote, but requires at least a weekly office visit.
Candidate ProfileYou have experience bringing up new, custom embedded computer designs, from bootloaders to operating systems and device drivers. At Wearable Brain, the software you develop will be a core piece of a software system that controls the human computer interaction.
Requirements
Skills We're Stoked About
- BS in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience in an innovative IoT product development environment, preferably wearables.
- Hands-on experience with full-stack MCU firmware development.
- Excellent C/C++ for embedded systems development.
- Experience with the following communication interfaces: I2C, SPI, BLE.
- Experience developing for low-power ARM MCU and its power optimization.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent.
- Experience with low-level HW interfaces and low-level debugging.
- Strong hardware/electrical know-how. You know how to test if your firmware works as expected by probing the hardware using a multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.
- Experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet and USB communication protocols.
- Embedded project hobbies.
- Experience with PCB design.
- Experience with toolchains and setting up a custom build environment.
