Senior Electronics Lab Technician

Position Summary
ID3 is seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Lab Technician to support the design, development, testing, assembly, and maintenance of custom electronic systems used in experiential marketing, exhibits, trade shows, branded environments, and interactive displays. This position plays a key role in transforming engineering concepts into reliable, production-ready solutions while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on electronics professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, experience building and testing prototypes, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Qualifications
Required
Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of hands-on electronics technician experience.
Strong understanding of:
Analog and digital electronics
Power distribution systems
Low-voltage electrical systems
PCB assembly and soldering
Wiring standards and cable fabrication
Experience using electronic test equipment including:
Digital Multimeters
Oscilloscopes
Power Supplies
Function Generators
Ability to read and interpret:
Electrical schematics
Wiring diagrams
Engineering drawings
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline.
Experience in manufacturing or custom fabrication.
Experience with:
Arduino
Raspberry Pi
PLCs
DMX lighting controls
Networking hardware
Industrial control systems
LED controllers
IPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
Soldering certification.
Experience supporting experiential displays, themed entertainment, exhibits, museums, or trade show environments.
Basic understanding of CAD or PCB design software.
