    Job Description

    Company Overview

At Evergreen Telemetry, we design and manufacture high-precision, wireless diagnostic instrumentation used by HVAC and building performance engineers worldwide. Our products rely on sensitive electronics built to perform flawlessly in tough environments. We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Electronics Assembly Technician to join our production team in Mesa.

    Position Summary

The Electronics Assembly Technician is responsible for populating, soldering, wiring, and housing printed circuit boards and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies. Working from engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), you will execute precise benchtop operations using hand tools, soldering irons, micro-dispensers, pneumatic tubing, and specialized assembly fixtures.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Pneumatic & Sensor Plumbing: Precision-fit, route, and secure flexible tubing between PCB-mounted pressure sensors and external housing ports, ensuring leak-free connections and proper bend radii.
    • PCB Assembly & Soldering: Perform manual soldering (through-hole and surface mount) for board modifications, wire attachments, connectors, and component additions.
    • Electro-Mechanical Assembly: Integrate populated PCBs into custom enclosures, routing internal wiring harnesses, mounting hardware, and installing user interface components.
    • Cable & Harness Fabrication: Strip, crimp, solder, and bundle wire harnesses, ribbon cables, and multi-pin connectors according to pinout diagrams.
    • Adhesives & Potting: Apply technical adhesives, silicones, threadlockers, and conformal coatings or potting compounds to secure components and seal joints.
    • Inspection & Quality Checks: Conduct visual inspections to verify solder joint quality, tubing retention, polarity, and component orientation prior to downstream testing.
    • Documentation & Workstation Care: Follow written assembly instructions, maintain ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety practices, log completed build quantities, and keep work benches organized.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Experience: 2+ years of experience in electronics assembly, small-component electro-mechanical assembly, or PCB rework.
    • Technical Aptitude: Experience with fine-scale mechanical assembly, including handling small-diameter tubing, press-fit fittings, and delicate sensor interfaces.
    • Soldering Proficiency: Strong hand-soldering skills (through-hole and SMD components).
    • Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret wiring schematics, assembly drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and step-by-step SOPs.
    • Tool Competency: Skilled with wire strippers, crimpers, torque drivers, adhesive dispensers, and hand tools.
    • Dexterity & Precision: Excellent steady-hand dexterity and eye-hand coordination for precise routing, fitting, and component placement.
    • ESD & Safety Protocols: Strong understanding of ESD control procedures and chemical safety protocols.

    Compensation & Job Details

    • Job Type: Full-time
    • Schedule: Monday to Friday (Day shift)
    • Work Location: In-person (Mesa, AZ facility)

    Benefits:

    • Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision)
    • Paid Time Off (PTO)
    • Well-lit, climate-controlled ESD bench environment
    • Opportunities for cross-training into calibration and quality testing
