    Join Balfour Beatty Regional Scotland as a Senior Electrical Project Manager and take a leading role in delivering some of our most significant and technically complex projects across Scotland.

    This is a flexible, project-based opportunity, and we are open to candidates located across Scotland. Depending on experience and business requirements, you could support a range of major Balfour Beatty projects, including our ASTI programme, the new Lochaber Hospital in Fort William, and other significant building services, healthcare, education and infrastructure projects across the country.

    What you'll be doing

    Key Responsibilities

    You'll play a key role in leading the electrical delivery of major projects, working closely with project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors and supply-chain partners from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

    Our growing pipeline across Scotland includes opportunities within:

    • Lochaber Hospital, Fort William - a major new healthcare development
    • ASTI programme - supporting major infrastructure investment across Scotland
    • Nairn Academy - Passivhaus new-build secondary school
    • Forres and the Highlands - regional construction and building-services programmes
    • Other significant Balfour Beatty projects across Scotland

    The role provides the opportunity to work across different sectors and projects, offering variety, long-term career development and exposure to some of Scotland's most important infrastructure and building programmes.

    What you''ll be doing

    As Senior Electrical Project Manager, you will take ownership of the electrical elements of your project and ensure safe, high-quality and commercially successful delivery.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Leading the electrical delivery of complex building services and infrastructure projects.
    • Managing electrical project scope, subcontractors, suppliers and specialist packages.
    • Developing and maintaining project programmes, schedules, submittal logs and coordination drawings.
    • Working closely with design, commercial, construction and commissioning teams.
    • Leading pre-construction, progress, design and technical meetings.
    • Managing procurement, material delivery and technical compliance.
    • Overseeing quality control, sustainability requirements and loss-prevention measures.
    • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and key project stakeholders.
    • Identifying and managing programme, technical and delivery risks.
    • Ensuring accurate as-built information and documentation.
    • Supporting testing, commissioning, project completion and handover.
    • Driving a strong culture of safety, quality and technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

    Who we're looking for

    You will have:

    • A strong background in Electrical Project Management or MEP Project Management within construction, building services or major infrastructure environments.
    • Experience delivering large, technically complex projects.
    • Healthcare project experience, ideally within hospitals or other complex healthcare environments.
    • Experience within education, public-sector, infrastructure or major building projects would also be advantageous.
    • Strong electrical and building-services technical knowledge.
    • Experience managing specialist subcontractors and supply-chain partners.
    • The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive project and programme performance.
    • Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
    • Experience working through pre-construction, construction, commissioning and handover phases.
    • A strong commitment to safety, quality and technical excellence.

    You may already be operating as a Senior Electrical Project Manager, or you could be an experienced Electrical Project Manager looking to take the next step in your career on larger and more complex projects.
