Senior Electrical Estimator

A well-established local electrical contractor is looking to add an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to their team. The company has a strong backlog of local commercial and industrial projects and is looking for someone who can independently manage estimates and help the company win new work.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced estimator who knows the local market and wants to take on a key role with an established local contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Lead estimates for local commercial and industrial electrical projects
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
• Complete detailed material and labor takeoffs
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Develop accurate and competitive project estimates
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and opportunities
• Develop bid strategies and final proposals
• Work closely with Project Management, Operations, and company leadership
• Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines
• Assist with project turnover after successful bids

Requirements:

• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience
• Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical construction background
• Ability to independently estimate projects from plans and specifications
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods
• Experience with Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar software
• Strong understanding of local electrical construction and pricing
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
