Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the design and development of highly customized automated industrial processing systems. This position partners closely with mechanical, controls, manufacturing, and commercial teams to take projects from concept and design through fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning.

Description

  • Design electrical control systems for custom automated industrial equipment.
  • Develop electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams on motor selection, sensor integration, and process control design.
  • Partner with controls engineers to leverage modern automation technologies and control architectures.
  • Support projects throughout the full equipment lifecycle, including concept development, design, fabrication, testing, and field implementation.
  • Ensure electrical designs meet applicable safety codes, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering team members.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, system validation, and commissioning activities as required.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience designing industrial electrical control systems.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar electrical design software.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, distributed I/O systems, and industrial Ethernet networking.
  • Experience with SCCR calculations and Short Circuit Current Analysis.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, and UL508A standards.
  • Ability to mentor and support developing engineer
