Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer
Bill rate range for this position is $80-$90/hr
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
This position is for an Electrical Project Engineer who supports system engineering activities for Otis New and Existing Product Elevator programs. The role works with cross-functional teams to assist in the development, integration, and validation of elevator systems to ensure customer, functional, code, and safety requirements are met.
Job Responsibilities
• Support requirements management, system integration activities, program schedule tracking, and preparation of systems documentation required for product development programs.
• Assist in conducting performance evaluations, feasibility studies, test planning, cost assessments, and code requirement reviews for impacted subsystems.
• Support the collection, documentation, and traceability of elevator system requirements from stakeholders and assist in translating them into subsystem requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to support system integration activities and ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in product development and sustaining engineering activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
Experience/Skills
• Ability to support the development and calculation of Performance Envelopes (Duty Tables).
• Basic electrical knowledge of high-power transformer applications, including step-up, isolation, and step-down transformers.
• Familiarity with local and national code requirements and compliance documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with engineering change implementation processes.
• Ability to prepare and maintain project documentation to support compliance with internal and external requirements, including test reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methods and engineering problem-solving tools such as DFMEA and Six Sigma is preferred.
• Experience participating in requirements management activities with engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Previous elevator industry experience is preferred.
Minimum Requirements
• BS Degree in EE
• 2+ years engineering experience
