Role Snapshot
This is a senior-level electrical engineering role with a strong focus on mission-critical facilities including complex new construction and renovation projects. You will lead the electrical discipline on assigned projects, interface directly with owners and stakeholders, coordinate across disciplines, and mentor engineers/designers.

Position Overview
The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the design and delivery of electrical systems for multi-discipline building projects, with heavy emphasis on mission critical infrastructure. The role includes system design, drawing/spec development, coordination, and acting as the Lead Electrical Engineer to ensure quality, schedule, and budget alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical System Design & Delivery
Design electrical systems for new construction and renovation projects supporting mission-critical facilities
Lead electrical work products through:
conceptual design
equipment selection and system definition
construction documents and specifications
energy modeling support (as applicable)
Develop and review electrical markups, calculations, and specs for quality and accuracy
Client Collaboration & Decision Support
Collaborate with clients to understand goals, constraints, and success criteria
Develop and evaluate design options, weighing:
reliability and redundancy
constructability
schedule and phasing
lifecycle impact
cost/risk tradeoffs
Guide clients toward informed decisions through clear engineering recommendations
Multi-Discipline Coordination
Coordinate across architectural, mechanical, civil, and technology disciplines to ensure:
code compliance
integration across systems
constructable design solutions
Communicate with internal teams, external consultants, and vendors to meet objectives and schedules
Electrical Discipline Leadership & Quality Oversight
Act as Lead Electrical Engineer on assigned projects
Support project success by maintaining balance across:
technical quality
design schedule
documentation milestones
budget constraints
Ensure documentation is cohesive, accurate, and aligned with project standards
Construction Phase / Owner’s Rep Support
Serve as the owner’s technical representative during construction, including:
RFI response
submittal review
site inspections / field observations
coordination and issue resolution
Mentorship & Team Development
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
Support team development through coaching, technical review, and structured feedback
Requirements (Must-Haves) — Very Clear
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
6+ years of experience in the MEP consulting engineering industry
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or higher)
Professional Engineer (PE) license OR actively on track to obtain
Proven ability to produce and lead:
electrical power distribution design
drawing markups + construction documentation
design coordination within multi-discipline environments
Strong client communication capability and professional presence
Ability to perform independent decision-making and technical judgement in fast-paced conditions
Preferred Qualifications (High-Value)
Revit experience
Experience designing systems for mission critical facilities (data centers, telecom, high reliability environments)
Interest in mentoring, technical leadership, and developing junior staff

Final compensation is based on years of experience, technical depth, and leadership scope.
Base Salary Ranges
6–9 years experience:$120,000 – $135,000
10–20 years experience:$115,000 – $170,000
Senior Technical / Lead exceptions:up to $165,000 (advanced technical leadership)
