Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong foundation in electrical engineering and extensive power system design experience for our consulting engineering client. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop construction documents, ensure electrical code compliance, and perform quality control reviews under tight schedules. Additionally, you will provide technical design services, oversee construction projects, and mentor junior engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and review detailed electrical construction documents and design plans.
Perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) checks and ensure strict electrical code implementation.
Provide comprehensive construction oversight and project technical support.
Mentor and guide junior engineering staff on best design practices.
Coordinate effectively with team members to meet fast-paced project schedules.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience: 7–10 years of experience focusing on commercial, industrial, municipal, and infrastructure projects.
Certifications: EIT or PE license is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Civil 3D is a plus.
Knowledge Base: Comprehensive understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and standard construction drafting practices.
Travel & Logistics: Valid driver's license with the ability to travel up to 30% throughout the NY Metro Area.
Legal Status: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
