    Senior Electrical Engineer

    Contract-to-Hire Opportunity | Boise, ID

    We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing team in Boise, Idaho, supporting complex and cutting-edge projects across semiconductor cleanrooms, laboratories, mission-critical facilities, and advanced industrial environments. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.

    In this role, you will provide technical leadership, guide design teams, oversee quality reviews, and work directly with clients, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions and construction documentation.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and perform electrical engineering and design for:
      • Facility power distribution systems
      • Grounding systems
      • Lighting systems
      • Low-voltage communication systems
    • Oversee and mentor designers and junior engineering staff while providing technical leadership to project teams.
    • Perform quality reviews of electrical design packages and construction documents.
    • Prepare technical specifications, bid packages, and construction documentation.
    • Serve as Electrical Discipline Lead and/or Quality Control reviewer on projects.
    • Coordinate directly with owners, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout project execution.
    • Support construction activities, field coordination, and on-site issue resolution.
    • Participate in proposal development and help deliver proactive solutions to client challenges.
    • Conduct site visits, punch walks, and engineering evaluations within active construction environments.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering from an accredited university.
    • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license with the ability to obtain licensure in the State of Idaho.
    • 12+ years of experience designing building electrical systems.
    • Strong working knowledge of:
      • NEC (NFPA 70)
      • Voltage drop calculations
      • Arc flash studies
      • Short-circuit analysis
      • Load flow calculations
    • Experience with electrical equipment specifications, vendor submittal reviews, and field coordination.
    • Ability to work effectively within construction and industrial project environments.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience supporting semiconductor, mission-critical, or data center projects.
    • Familiarity with Revit and/or BIM software platforms.
    • Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
    • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Passion for continuous improvement and technical excellence.
