This position is ideal for an experienced electrical engineer who can take ownership of projects from planning and design through construction, testing, commissioning, and ongoing system performance. The Senior Electrical Engineer will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, contractors, vendors, and leadership to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable standards.

We are on the hunt for an experienced and dynamic Senior Electrical Engineer to join our high-performance team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our organization, taking the lead in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex electrical equipment and systems. Responsibilities:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be expected to:

1. Design and develop complex electrical systems and equipment, ensuring they meet customer requirements and comply with relevant regulations.
2. Conduct detailed electrical system and equipment analyses, including the use of computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
3. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical systems and equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring systems operate at optimal levels.
5. Lead and participate in project teams, coordinating with other engineers and professionals to ensure project objectives are met.
6. Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation.
7. Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in electrical engineering and introduce new technologies and methodologies where appropriate.
8. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and other team members.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Electrical Engineer role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or higher will be considered an advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.
3. Proven experience in a power plant or similar industrial setting, with a solid understanding of power plant equipment and operations.
4. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead project teams and mentor junior engineers.
7. Proficiency in using CAD and other engineering software.
8. A professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.
