JOB DESCRIPTION
Your work ensures that deliverables meet company expectations for clarity, accuracy, accessibility, and professional quality while supporting efficient and scalable documentation practices across projects.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Contribute as an individual team member, working with moderate supervision while demonstrating increasing independence in executing reviews and validations.
Perform detailed editorial and formatting reviews across a wide range of documentation and proposal deliverables, ensuring clarity, grammar, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
Validate documentation against requirements, source materials, and client expectations, including reviewing responses to client comments for completeness and alignment.
Collaborate directly with authors to clarify findings, resolve issues, and improve deliverables in real time, ensuring feedback is clear, actionable, and appropriately prioritized.
Apply sound judgment to distinguish between critical issues and low-impact findings, focusing efforts on improvements that meaningfully affect quality and usability.
Identify, document, and track defects, contributing to quality reporting and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Support the consistent application of documentation standards, templates, and accessibility requirements (including WCAG/Section 508).
Participate in the maintenance and improvement of DQA processes, checklists, and tools to enhance review efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with Technical Writing, Proposal Writing, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency across deliverables.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical and Professional Communication, Journalism, or a related field is required.
2 to 5 years of experience in technical writing, editing, quality assurance, or a related content-focused role is required.
Demonstrated ability to perform detailed editorial review with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors.
Ability to analyze documentation and identify gaps, inconsistencies, and alignment issues relative to requirements and standards.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical staff and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
Additional Qualifications
Adaptability, flexibility, and attention to detail are essential.
Working knowledge of documentation and publishing tools (e.g., Word, Confluence, SharePoint) is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of WCAG/Section 508 accessibility standards is beneficial.
Experience working in a structured documentation or proposal environment is preferred.
This role involves handling sensitive materials and requires a high level of confidentiality.
