SENIOR DRAINAGE ENGINEER (P.E.)

HBC Engineering Company (HBC) is a privately-owned engineering consulting firm based in Miami, Florida, with satellite offices in Broward and Palm Beach County. Our core competencies include civil and transportation engineering, water resources, and traffic engineering.

We are seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer. Candidate for this position is expected to have leadership and managerial qualities as well as technical expertise. We are seeking a candidate with experience in stormwater drainage analysis and design and water resources. A candidate must be able to confidently engage clients on a routine basis and articulate technical information through written reports and oral presentations.

The appropriately qualified applicant will have a significant role in the design and construction administration of a variety of stormwater treatment system, canal restoration, water and wastewater conveyance projects and treatment facilities. Work will include planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services and will include activities focused on site-specific design of drainage and water/wastewater projects. The selected candidate will also work together with senior members of our team to seek new business opportunities and may serve in a lead role on various water or wastewater projects, depending on size and complexity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer in the county of Florida or ability to become registered within 3 months.
• Minimum 10-15 years professional experience
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Demonstrated task management and project organizational skills.
• Must have strong communication skills in coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public may be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.
• Strong experience in the planning, permitting, and design of water and wastewater projects.
• Occasional business travel of one to two days per month may be required.
