Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Document Control Specialist for a Contract with a client in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing document control processes, changing orders, and quality system documentation while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Rate Range: $32/hour to $35/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Document Control Specialist Job Responsibilities include:

  • Perform Change Order Coordinator responsibilities, including managing document change orders, deviations, approvals, and controlled document workflows.

  • Maintain and administer document control processes, ensuring compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), 21 CFR Part 820, and ISO 13485 requirements.

  • Create, format, edit, review, and manage SOPs, quality documents, lab notebooks, and controlled records within electronic document management systems.

  • Coordinate document reviews, approvals, archiving, obsolescence activities, and ensure timely completion of periodic document assessments.

  • Provide document control training, support QA training initiatives, and maintain training records and metrics.

  • Support internal and external audits, respond to document control inquiries, and drive continuous improvement of Quality Management System (QMS) processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Business, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Document Control, or Quality Systems within a laboratory, medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry.

  • Working knowledge of 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, electronic document management systems, and document change control processes.

  • Experience with technical writing, SOP management, document control, training coordination, audit support, and Quality Management System (QMS) compliance activities.

Pay Details: $32.00 to $35.00 per hour
