Overview:

The Senior Director, Strategic Account Management is responsible for enterprise-wide leadership of AssistRx’s most strategic manufacturer partnerships, overseeing a significant portfolio of accounts and driving long-term revenue growth, retention, and client success. This role operates as a senior commercial leader with full accountability for portfolio performance, executive client relationships, and strategic alignment across the organization. The Senior Director leads a multi-layered team, shapes go-to-market and account strategies, and partners with executive leadership to drive scalable growth and market differentiation.

Responsibilities:
  • Enterprise Account Strategy & Growth
  • Define and lead the long-term strategy for strategic accounts, aligning client objectives with AssistRx’s enterprise growth goals
  • Own a large-scale portfolio (e.g., Tier 1 / top revenue clients), with accountability for expansion, retention, and overall client health
  • Identify and drive new revenue streams, cross-sell/upsell opportunities, and innovative solutions
  • Establish account segmentation strategies and tailored engagement models
  • P&L Ownership & Performance Management
  • Own portfolio-level financial performance, including revenue, margin, and growth targets
  • Oversee forecasting, pipeline development, and long-range planning across all strategic accounts
  • Drive performance accountability through KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making
  • Optimize resource allocation and operational efficiency to maximize profitability
  • Executive Client Leadership
  • Serve as executive sponsor for top-tier client relationships, engaging directly with C-suite stakeholders
  • Lead high-level business reviews, contract negotiations, and strategic planning sessions
  • Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex client challenges and risk mitigation
  • Build long-term partnerships that position AssistRx as a critical, value-driving partner
  • Organizational Leadership & Development
  • Lead and develop a multi-layered organization, including Directors, Managers, and Account Managers
  • Define organizational structure, talent strategy, and succession planning for the function
  • Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results
  • Coach and mentor senior leaders to strengthen leadership capability across the organization
  • Cross-Functional & Executive Partnership
  • Partner with executive leadership across Operations, Product, Technology, Finance, and Compliance to align on strategic priorities
  • Influence enterprise decision-making through client insights, market trends, and performance data
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that enhance client outcomes and operational scalability
  • Market Leadership & Innovation
  • Monitor industry trends across Pharma, Specialty Pharmacy, and HUB services to inform strategy
  • Lead innovation in account management practices, tools, and client engagement models
  • Identify competitive threats and opportunities, shaping AssistRx’s market positioning
Qualifications:
  • Required
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of experience in account management, commercial strategy, or client leadership roles
  • Extensive experience in Pharma, Specialty Pharmacy, and HUB Operations
  • Proven success managing large, complex client portfolios with significant revenue responsibility
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, forecasting, and growth strategy
  • Preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience managing leaders (Directors/Managers)
  • Experience operating at a senior executive level within a high-growth, client-centric organization
Pay Range: USD $149,760.21 - USD $187,200.26 /Hr.
